Breviloquent is a branding strategy + graphic design studio bringing clients’ stories to life on the Web and in print. Our name is a real word meaning “concise” and “to the point,” with a healthy dash of eloquence. We think it’s an apt description of the work we do.

New Literary History

Academic Journal

NLH is an award-winning academic journal founded at the University of Virginia in 1969. For forty years, the journal had the same editor and graphical style, and the new editor recognized the need for a change. She asked us to modernize the aesthetic of the publication without disregarding some traditional design elements. We created a new masthead and an auxiliary branding element that is used on the website, stationery and the back cover of the journal itself.
